MODKID 2nd Anniversary SALE!

OK, so our 2nd Anniversary was actually on May 20th but that was my first day back from Portland so I don't think I was in any shape or mood to do much but sleep. So, here we are... better late than never, eh?

I have decided to celebrate our 2nd Anniversary by having a HUGE SALE on our Etsy store. I just finished listing several ready-made items and I have priced them really low. But the catch is that once they're gone, they're gone and there's only 1 of each design in small & large sizes.

As of right now, I have 92 sales on Etsy and I've been told that hitting your 100th sale is a big deal over there, so what I am gonna do is reward the buyer of my 100th item with a special matching surprise item. Since I don't know which will be my 100th item sold, this surprise item will be custom-made after the sale, so please allow an extra couple days for completion. :)

And since I am feeling happy & generous, I will also reward one lucky blog reader with a surprise package in the mail from moi. Since I know some of you don't have small children (or girls), I will give the lucky winner their choice of: a sewing/crafting care package from my extensive collection of fabric/notions OR a custom-made MODKID surprise item.

All you have to do is leave a comment below this post and let me know what your plans are for this Summer. Are you traveling, hanging out at home, taking on a new project, learning a new skill, sleeping a lot??? Tell me, tell me, tell me.

I will draw the winner in 1 week.

  1. Hi there! Let me start off by saying that I've admired your work for so long. I've seen your designs first on Ebay!! So, I'm commenting on here for your "prize"..lol. Well, I do have kids (five of them), and this summer I plan on just hanging out with them and keeping them BUSY! We are a homeschooling family, so this summer is a much needed break! I don't have anything scheduled yet, but the majority of the time will be outside!! Blessings, Alicia

We're going to rent a cabin in Gatlinburg for a few days at the end of the month. We've never been there, but were looking for a place with activities for our kids who range in age from 3 months to 15.
Thanks so much for the ceviche instructions. My husband's been asking me to make it and I was a bit intimidated, but I think I will try it now. Thanks for the inspiration!

Happy 2nd Birthday to your blog! Our summer includes a trip to Colorado for the week of July 4 and then my kids' school is on a year 'round calendar, so they'll be starting back up on 7/14. It actually has been nice - 3 weeks off in the fall, 2 weeks at Christmas, 2 in the spring and 7 for summer. We went to Flagstaff last weekend for my cousin's wedding, so the kids are getting used to road trips.

We are headed to Telluride for the 4th. We are so excited since it's over 110 degrees here. I am planning on knitting more but haven't had the time. In July I should be free to do a lot more. I also just reserved a lot of Photoshop books at the library to pick up some new skills. I just got my Nikon D300 and having a blast with it.

I love your work. I have 3 girls and they love when I knit their hats. Thanks for your inspiration!

Congratulations on Two Years! I've not been reading quite that long, but have enjoyed the inspiration! :)

This summer, I plan to enjoy our backyard with my five children. I want to cook with them (a different supper "helper" each evening) and encourage their creativity with craft/sewing projects of their choosing.

And, I hope, once everyone is down for the night, to spend a little time on my own projects, mainly quilting.

    Here's to summer! Blessings!
