Tell us!!
We are deep into MODKID 2011 production planning and we'd love to hear from you! Please tell us what types of sewing patterns you want to see from us in the coming months. We get requests via email all the time, but we thought this would be a more effective way to get all requests in one place. If your wish is not shown in these options, feel free to leave us a comment. Also, if you have any specific requests, like a certain kid pattern that you'd like to see made for you, by all means tell us in the comments too!
I would love to get some niiiiice patttern for me ... as u know : KYOKO

I would love to see funky boys' knit tops - hoodies, etc. Also, boys' woven pants with cool pocket and patch options. And boys's jackets. Okay - is that enough to get you started??? Would love more girl stuff, too. Your patterns rock!
ReplyDeleteKyoko for mom! And Kyoko beyond size 7. Even if you had to modify it to make it work on the bigger sizes that would be awesome.
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE to see some tween girls. I can not wait to see what you come out with next.
ReplyDeleteI agree with the larger Kyoko! Love all your patterns!
ReplyDeleteThank you all! Keep em coming... this is great feedback!!

I just opened a retail store. Have had a lot of requests for more Boy fabric and patterns.
ReplyDeleteThere are tons of purse and quilt patterns. I hope that you'll spend your time on patterns for toddlers-tweens and a few adult patterns!
ReplyDeleteGirl's pants beyond size 7!!!! My daughter is hard to fit, and I love, love, love the Sophie pattern!
ReplyDeleteLove the boy ideas... while we are at it though we need some boy knit!!!!!!! VERY hard to find!
ReplyDeleteI thought of another one that is not pattern related. Knit with lycra.
ReplyDeleteJen, great minds think alike! We are currently sourcing some new knits with lycra content. I have already tested out a fabulous rayon/lycra blend that works beautifully for yoga pants, leggings & such. Stay tuned for more details... it's still too early to reveal anything. :)
ReplyDeletePatty ~ I'd love to see 4x patterns myself. No one does those so those of us wearing that size are stuck buying from the stores. Not a good value on many of those stores ~ they're either WAY over prices or think our arms are the length of an orangutan.
ReplyDeleteI would love to see boys patterns, but I have to say that the Kyoko, Sydney and Sophie, are my 10 year old's FAVORITES...and I don't have them in her size!I have finessed the size 7 a little...but if it came up to a size 10, I would be tickled! I LOVe MODKID! Thanks Patty!
ReplyDeleteLarger size Kyoko YES PLEASE!!
ReplyDeleteYour earlier patterns only went up to size 6 or 7 & lots of them would work for older girls. So if nothing else, if you redo those up maybe up to even size 12, I would buy them all over again! My favorite is Isabel & everyone loves Kyoko!!
ReplyDeleteI know it's a popular request (as I can see from the comments here) but I'd like to put one more vote in for women's Kyoko!!! And while we're at it, I know lots of your other girl designs would look fabulous for women, especially Frida, Julia, Nina and Maya.
ReplyDeleteA girl can dream, right? :)

I love cotton and patterns for woman clothes and if I should pick only one category, this would be it:)
ReplyDeleteKnit pants for little girls. My daughter has such a sweet toosh, but they don't fit in jeans very well (and she's only 3)
ReplyDeleteIt would be great to have some boy themed fabric like skate boards, surf boards and patterns to match. I am thinking cotton for board shorts or cargo pull on shorts. But some might also like a knit for hoodies :)
ReplyDeleteLove all your patterns Patty. Have made several but mainly as samples as my youngest daughter is 11. Would love more patterns in older sizes for her!! Would love more yoga themed womens clothing for your knits. Would love to see some knits with Lycra!!!!!
ReplyDeletePatterns in size 12-16 for girls in alot of the patterns you have now for wovens. Just don't see many great pattern makers make hip looking patterns for tweens. We love your stuff but I can't buy it for my dd is a 14-16.
ReplyDeleteBoys! Boys! Boys! And boys fabric choices both woven and knit.
ReplyDeleteI love that there are others requesting boy stuff! yay!
ReplyDeleteI would just love, love, love to see the Abigail worked up so that I could also use woven fabrics ... good-quality knit fabrics aren't readily found in my area (Mississippi), and even though you have a line/collection of darling knits, most knits are just plain ugly; plus the fact that except for the months of November through February/March, it's just waaaaaay too hot and humid here in Mississippi for anyone, including children, to wear knits -- we'd die of a heat stroke lol .... :-) Thanks so much for asking all of us to share our wants, needs, and desires for patterns -- it is such a lovely gesture, and I appreciate it very much. Have a lovely day!!!
ReplyDeleteI love rhumba pants ;)

Please design some girls quirky play dresses and play pants/capris in comfy cotton -with fun & unique pocket and embellishing doodad options! Ones that can use flannel in the winter for a cute seasonal touch. I can't do shirred or knits for the life of me :)
