We narrowed down some options and put it to popular vote in our Facebook Fan Group, and we couldn’t be happier that the Modkid Avery Dress won out! Avery is a drop-waist dress with a fitted bodice, a super full, twirly skirt and three sleeve length options. The pattern also includes fun variations, like a mini pocket and belt loops.
DATES
The sew-along with be September 29th – October 3rd. So put it on your calendar now! Between now and then we’ll be posting inspiration, what you’ll need, the schedule, and prizes. During the sew-along we’ll tackle a few steps each day to take you through the pattern.
PRIZES
Patty has a new twist in store for this sew-along!! In addition to an Overall Participation prize to be awarded at random, there will be a prize for the Best Costume (think Halloween) and Most Creative Use of Materials. We want to see both ends of the spectrum: pretty dresses and over-the-top costumes! We’ll be showing a little inspiration over the next couple of days and give you the full contest details when we show you the prizes.
HOW TO ENTER
You’ll want to post your finished dress in our Avery Dress Sew-Along Flickr group by Monday, October 6th to be entered to win the final prize packs. Don’t have a Flickr account, no problem. Post dress photos to Facebook and Instagram using the tag #averysewalong so we can all find you. We’d love to see progress photos and finished dresses in our Facebook Fan Group as well!
