Shoe want any?

Sydney just experienced her first growth spurt in well over a year. No kidding here. She has been wearing size 3T clothes and size 7 shoes since before her last birthday (and she is turning 4 in less than 4 weeks!) This morning, since it was chilly outside, she wanted to wear one of her fave MODKIDs from last Fall but sadly it was too small. Then she tried to put on a few of her favorite Fall shoes and they were too tight... awwww, my baby's finally GROWING!

So, our loss is your gain. I've put together a little SHOE SALE of sorts. And since I don't want to bog down the blog with tons of pictures of used toddler shoes, I will just redirect you HERE to check them out, if you wish. All are size 6s and 7s... and a few small 8s.

Email me at info@modkidboutique.com if you want anything.

P.S. the clothing all sold this morning... they went like hotcakes!!! Well, except for this one.
Free to a Good Home...

I recently ran a bunch of auctions for my Baby Gassy Gooma modeling samples (off their current 2007-2008 Winter Collections) and this particular item did not sell. I don't know why, because I think it is TDF cute, but nevertheless I am feeling generous and will give it away to the first interested person who leaves a comment below this post, if they cover shipping + paypal charges ($5.00 for Priority Mail).

It is a White Cropped Corduroy Jacket with white fur trim around the collar and on the sleeve cuffs. It retails for $48.00! It is 18M size and it runs true to size. I do not have any pictures of Sydney actually modeling it because she was wearing 2Ts at the time they sent this to me and it was waaaay too small. But here is a picture of the lovely Chaislyn modeling the exact coat that I have here. Click HERE if you'd like to see more pictures. So, if your little one is wearing 18M (or 12 -18M or even 18-24M) this should fit perfectly!

And, no, I do not have ANY of the coordinating pieces for this line... literally EVERYTHING sold except for this lonely piece. But I think it would look fabulous with a plain white turtleneck and a pair of jeans... or over a cute red dress for V-Day. :)

***UPDATE: BGG Jacket is SOLD! But... If you are interested in any Gymbo clothes I do have A TON of EUC (pre-owned) pieces that I'd like to offload ... all in sizes 12-18M and 18-24M. I won't bore you all with all the pictures, but if anyone is interested, just leave a comment and I will contact you. :)***
PHEW... October's finally OVER!!

This morning I was blessed with an extra hour. I'm sure the rest of the country was perfectly aware that it was daylight savings time, but I had somehow managed to forget. I realized it when I rolled out of bed, still half-asleep, and was shocked to see that Jon was still home. The realization finally struck me: "OHMYGOSH! I have an extra hour! What should I do? Should I go back to bed? An extra hour of sleep would be heavenly! Should I take a shower?" (I usually don't get to until later into the day because my mornings are always so hectic getting the kids up, dressed, fed, etc.) "Or, should I do some work?" I opted for a little bit of everything. I slept (or mostly just closed my eyes & rested) for 20 minutes. Then I took a long, hot shower (AHHHHH!), and finally I came downstairs to check email and started drafting this blog posting before I even got Sophie out of bed. :)

That extra hour this morning was extra special to me because lately it had seemed like ME time was a luxury that I could not afford. There had been NO extra minutes in the day for all of October and I was beginning to go insane...

Hmm... let's see. Let's take a quick trip down memory lane and see what all happened last month: First, we had Sydney's 3rd Birthday. We went to St. Louis that prior weekend, which was FUN but utterly exhausting, since it required a 6-hr. travel time. Next followed a little blog contest I did to celebrate my 100th posting. Again, super fun! That week I prepared my set for LimeVine's WRAPPED UP launch, cleaned the house in preparation for out-of-town visitors and began planning for Sydney's Party. The blog contest ended on Monday, the 15th and Jodi of Ruggi28, was the lucky winner. The launch was on the 16th. Out-of-town guests began to arrive on the 18th. By Saturday, the 20th (the day of the party) I had 5 out-of-town guests and about 30 or so party guests. It was a blast, but exhausting. My mom stayed in town until the following Saturday, the 27th.

The following week, I worked on some new designs, plus some things I had on my to-do list. I designed a cool tee for Jodi, my contest winner, and was so excited with the way it turned out! Jodi, if you are reading this, check out the top that went in the mail to you late last week. I hope you like it!!

I also worked on a custom design for one of my favorite customers. She picked the fabric combo and "designed" this top for her lovely daughter, Abigail. It was a combination of this top and this top from last year's Fall line but with a couple of new twists and I am so pleased with how it turned out! Christy, if you are reading this, your new top will be on its way to you today! :)

Oh, and let's not forget HALLOWEEN! I volunteered at Sophie's kindergarten class that day... helped the kids with some crafts and a costume parade at school. Then went trick-or-treating for a couple of hours with my girls and the neighborhood kids.

To celebrate the end of a crazy, crazy month, I got a haircut! And I decided to do something totally different... It was supposed to be somewhat inspired by Victoria Beckham's do, but since my hair's color/texture is NOTHING like Posh Spice's lovely locks, it kinda turned out like its own thing. But, I like it anyway. What do you think??

Finally, I got around to listing one more thing before all my design launches start again. This cute little dress is for the big girls. I know some of you have girls the same age/size as my Sophie, so if you do, check this out. This is ready-made and ready-to-ship in size 5/6/7. Sophie is currently wearing 6/7s for size reference. A low starting bid with no reserve and a low B.I.N. make this funky Euro dress and excellent deal. Check it out!

Oh, and sometime today, if I have some time, I will be listing some of my mom's purses under her id marielizcreations. She's got some lovely, lovely new designs using the fabulous Nigella fabrics and some gorgeous new Asian fabrics she picked up recently. Click HERE to see all her auctions (if the link doesn't work right away it's because I haven't gotten around to it yet, but please keep checking!) ;)

HAPPY NOVEMBER EVERYONE!! :)

PS... I haven't forgotten about a tag from the lovely Michelle. It's coming... probably next week! This week I have to get ready for 2 design launches that start on Thursday.
MODKID Studio Sale!!!

I finally listed some Fall '06 samples off my studio! Here's the blurb ...I listed two auctions. One in size 24M / 2T (Sydney's size) and one is size 5/6 (Sophie's size).
The starting prices are set ridiculously low (priced to move, as they would say). The 3-pc. set has no reserve, so bid away. The 7-pc. set (in size 5/6) has a low reserve. As a hint, my BIN (Buy It Now) price was calculated at $25 per piece, which is crazy considering how much work went into these, and the reserve was set even LOWER... so you will be getting a deal no matter what! :)

Click here to see the following 7-piece wardrobe in a size 5/6

Click here to see the following 3-piece set in a size 2T.

I also have these adorable L'Amour clogs in a size 12 (toddler) that are BNIB (Brand New in Box). I bought these for Sophie to use for modeling and they were way too small. She could not even get her foot into them, LOL! So these have never been worn. They are best sized for a 10, 10.5 or 11 (they run 1 - 2 sizes small). Check them out... so cute! :) I will sell these for $20, just to recover what I paid. Post a comment here on my blog, or email me directly at info@modkidboutique if you are interested in these. :)

Happy shopping, everyone!!!

A quick addition to this post...

Just wanted to let those of you who may have missed it the first time know that I still have a couple of the Baby Gassy Gooma modeling samples in the size 24M available if anyone is interested. Also, the cute pink poodle trench coat in a size 5 is still available... what a perfect accent piece for the Fall/Winter months! For more info/price on these items, check out my previous Blog Sale posting. First come - first served. :)

Blog Sale!

As promised, I've gathered some items to sell here on my blog. And since I save on eBay fees, I will list them at a lower price AND you receive FREE shipping. A win-win situation. :)

The first few pieces are samples I received from Baby Gassy Gooma that were never modeled or even taken out of their original cellophane bags... these are NWTs (new with tags!). These items will be available to you at a first come-first served basis. Either post a comment below or email me directly at info@modkidboutique.com. I will accept payments via paypal to that same email address mentioned and items will be shipped to you within 24 hrs. of payment receipt.

First up, this adorable lightweight coat from their Summer 2007 "Oodles Of Poodles" line. It is a size 5T, NWT, 100% cotton, fully-lined in white satin. Perfect for those breezy nights or an indoor event. Sells on their website for $64. I will offer it here for $49.00 plus FREE shipping!

Second in line is this gorgeous ruffled sundress. It is tagged as a 12M but sized more like a 24M / 2T. Will easily fit a 2 year old or even a small 3 year old. Measures 20" from shoulder to hem. Sells for $60, I will offer it here for $40.00 plus FREE shipping!

Next I have these super cute bermuda shorts. I have these in a size 24M AND in a size 5T. 100% Cotton with black accents... very chic! These sell on their website for $40. I will offer them here for $25.00 each. Please let me know which size you prefer (24M or 5T). **UPDATE** The size 5 is SOLD!

And last but not least, from the "Oodles of Poodles" line in their beautiful corset top, which looks great with the bermuda shorts offered above! I also have these in a size 24M AND 5T. Sold on their website for $40. I will offer them here for $25.00 each. Please let me know which size you prefer (24M or 5T). Also, if you'd like to purchase the corset top & bermuda short as a set, I will sell them together for $45. **UPDATE** The size 5 is SOLD!

Next, I will offer up a few hairbows made by my friend and fellow eBay designer, Erika of Abby-Doodles. These were all modeling samples and worn only for the photo sessions. Erika's bows are perfectly sized, and beautifully made. I guarantee you will not be disappointed! :)

I will sell each pair for $8.00 plus FREE shipping! Just tell me which pair you prefer and if you want more than 1 pair, I will knock $1 off the second pair price. :)

BOW "F" --- this is a single "LARGE" hairbow made to match my "Sorbet" set from Fall 2006.
Colors: dark pink, light pink and lime green. Attached to a large 2.5" French clip. **UPDATE** This item is SOLD!

And last, but definitely not least, I will offer up one of my very own samples. This skirt was never worn (not even modeled) because I made it too small by mistake. I had to sew a whole new skirt for Sophia to model so this one has never been worn. :) It measures 20" wide at the hips and 13.5" long from waist to hem. The elastic at the waist has not been finished yet, so I can adjust it to your preference, but it will not go any bigger than 20" because that is how wide the fabric is. So mind you, this skirt needs to go to a very slim child, LOL! Probably best for a 18M or 2T but might fit a very slim 3T. I will sell this skirt for $25.00 and FREE shipping! **UPDATE** This item is SOLD!

Oh, and this skirt is a perfect match to BOWS "B" offered above! :)

Again, you can leave a comment below if you want one of these items. I will check it regularly and you will be able to see if you were first in line or email me directly if you prefer at info@modkidboutique.com. THANKS and happy shopping!!! :)
Pint-Sized Couture

I loved this dress the first time I made it... in a size 5/6. But after the buyer who won the auction requested it in a size 18-months, I fell in love with it all over again! Everything is miniaturized as if by magic: the skirt tiers are skinnier, the flower pin is smaller and I even used a miniature version of the crochet lace for the bottom trim. I guess small things just look cuter, huh? That must be why my auctions that show the sample set in size 2T always sell better than the ones with the bigger sample. Hmmm...

So, anyway, I still have this adorable size 4/5/6T dress (the one on the right) available in case anyone is interested. The other one shipped today to my sweet customer. I might put together a little "blog sale" soon and try to unload some samples... FREE shipping to anyone who orders off my blog! :)

**UPDATE!** The 5/6T dress is sold! Thank you all for the email inquiries about it. It was first come-first serve. But you all have definitely motivated me to get a "blog-sale" going here pretty soon! I love to save on ebay fees and if I can pass on those savings to you by offering FREE shipping, everyone wins! Thanks again! :)
